Lunch Program

At Hackett Catholic Prep, we offer a wide array of both healthy and delicious lunch choices. It is our top priority to ensure students are well-nourished and ready to learn. Each lunch period is a time to reflect and share a meal with fellow classmates, so we like to make sure that students are receiving nutritious meals.

There is no wrong choice in the school lunch line, but fan favorites are chicken tenders and grilled cheese. Even the staff runs down to the cafeteria on grilled cheese and tomato soup day!

According to the USDA National School Lunch regulations, school districts are not obligated to provide meals, nor extend credit, to any student unable to pay for meals. However, Hackett Catholic Prep High School realizes the need to provide meals to students, so they are prepared to learn. It is also recognized that the provision of meals must be handled in a fiscally responsible manner. 

Students are encouraged to pre-pay for lunch by making a payment via FACTS on the school’s website or by sending a check/cash to HCP in an envelope with the student’s name, to the attention of Barb Elmblad. Pre-paying for lunches helps to move the kids through the line more efficiently and to track positive and negative balances. Once a student’s account balance reaches or exceeds -$10.00, a substitute meal will NOT be provided, and the student will be denied meal service. At no time will any student be allowed to charge snacks or a la carte items. 

Note: Additional communication methods may be used for balance notification purposes. If you need to inquire about the status of your child’s account balance, please contact Barb Elmblad at 381-2646, ext. 139.

There are two ways families can pay their school lunch fees.

1. Electronic payment: you may pay electronically through the FACTS family portal.

2. Check/cash should be turned in to the school.

Hackett Catholic Prep has partnered with FACTS to provide a secure, fast, and easy-to-use online ordering system that allows parents and guardians to view our lunch menu, order, prepay and manage student lunches from their smartphone, tablet, or computer.
